Information We Access or Process

Depending on the features you use, AXEL Trackside may access or process the following:

• Camera images, if you choose to scan receipts or take note photos.
• Photos from your photo library, if you choose to attach images to notes or expenses.
• User-entered content such as events, sessions, expenses, notes, maintenance entries, tire information, and related motorsport records.
• Receipt images and receipt text, if you choose to use receipt scanning.
• Basic subscription and purchase status information, if you choose to purchase AXEL Pro.
• Anonymous app usage events such as screen views, button taps, and saved feature metadata, if analytics is enabled for the app.

How We Use Information

We use information only to provide app features, including:

• saving your motorsport logbook entries and app records;
• attaching photos to expenses or notes;
• scanning receipts and extracting merchant, category, and amount information;
• generating reports, exports, and AI-style summaries from your stored app records;
• understanding which screens and features are used most often and reviewing aggregate spend patterns; and
• verifying and restoring AXEL Pro subscription access.

Local Device Storage

AXEL Trackside currently stores most app content locally on your device using on-device storage. This may include:

• events;
• sessions and lap data;
• expenses;
• maintenance and service records;
• tire records;
• notes;
• attached image paths or references.

If you delete the app or clear its data, locally stored information may be removed from your device.

Camera and Photo Access

AXEL Trackside may request access to your camera to capture receipt photos or note photos, and access to your photo library to attach images you choose to import. We only access these images when you intentionally use a feature that requires them.

Product Analytics

If enabled by the app operator, AXEL Trackside may send anonymous product analytics events to a third-party analytics provider in order to understand app usage and improve the product.

These events may include:

• screen views;
• button taps;
• whether certain features are used;
• expense save metadata such as category, whether a photo was attached, and amount values; and
• service-entry save metadata such as type and cost values.

As of the last update to this policy, AXEL Trackside may use:

• PostHog

The app does not currently require a general user login, and this analytics stream is intended to use an anonymous device or install identifier rather than a normal named account.

Receipt Scanning and OCR

If you use receipt scanning, the receipt image may be sent to third-party OCR providers in order to extract text and detect totals or merchant information.

As of the last update to this policy, AXEL Trackside may use:

• OCR.space
• EasyOCR API

These services only receive the image data needed to process the receipt scan you initiate. We do not guarantee or control third-party processing practices beyond our own integration choices, and their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

If you do not want receipt images sent to OCR services, do not use the receipt scanning feature.

In-App Purchases and Subscription Services

If you purchase or restore AXEL Pro, subscription handling may involve third-party providers, including:

• Google Play or Apple App Store, depending on your platform; and
• RevenueCat, which we use to help manage subscription entitlement status.

We do not receive your full payment card number. Payment processing is handled by the platform store and related purchase infrastructure.

We may receive subscription status information such as:

• whether a subscription is active;
• product or entitlement identifiers;
• limited purchase or restore metadata needed to unlock Pro features.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal data.

We may share limited information only in the following cases:

• with OCR providers, when you choose to scan a receipt;
• with analytics providers, if product analytics is enabled for the app;
• with subscription and purchase providers, when you purchase or restore AXEL Pro;
• when required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request;
• to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the app or users.

Data Retention

Because most app data is stored locally on your device, your information is generally retained until you delete it inside the app, remove the app from your device, or your device clears the app's local data.

Data processed by third-party OCR or subscription services may be retained by those providers according to their own policies.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to limit data use to app functionality and to use standard platform and service protections where applicable. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

AXEL Trackside is not directed to children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
